Music & Movement in Early Childhood

This workshop can either be taken as a 3 hour evening workshop or a 6 hour Saturday session or an in-service component.  The components within this workshop are:

  • Teaching Across the Curriculum Through Music & Movement
  • Music & Movement in Daily Classroom Activities
  • Materials & Resources
  • Methods – teaching non-music teachers how to comfortably present music activities.
  • Instrument Lab – how to build music instruments from everyday materials.
  • Center-Based Materials
  • Web Resources - sites on the Internet to help you in the classroom and for preparation.

This class is targeted to music educators, early childhood professionals, ABC & Head Start teachers and assistants, and elementary school teachers (K4-4th).

This set of topics can be formatted for in-service trainings as either 30 minute or 50 minute sessions.  See our rate sheet about cost for public school and educational cooperative presentation costs.
